Look Into My Eyes – The Song

Look Into My Eyes – The Song

Here’s a new song that I just finished writing today. It’s called “Look Into My Eyes.”

First, it was the poem, the word, the poetic language (https://kreworld.com/look-into-my-eyes-the-poem/).
Second, it was the drawing, the visual (https://kreworld.com/look-into-my-eyes-the-drawing/).
Third, it was the music, the rhythm, the melody, the harmony (https://kreworld.com/look-into-my-eyes-the-music/).
And now it is the song. Write poetry, music, and alter the poem into lyrics (chorus ,verses, etc. ) to match the song setup. If necessary, slowly tweak the music.
The song is in a verse and chorus form. Stanzas are mapped to verses, but with some light modifications. The first stanza goes to the chorus.

From Poem:
In our minds, we think we’re right,
We think we know, we think we’re saints.
In our minds, we are too fast,
We are to blame.

To Lyrics:
In our minds, we think we’re right,
We think we know.
In our minds we think we’re saints,
We are too fast.

The song’s lyrics:

(chorus)
Take a minute and look into my eyes,
Get closer and give me a hug,
For a moment in your life
Don’t judge me, don’t pull me apart.

Don’t judge me, don’t pull me apart.

(verse)
You say you see me now, you say
You say you got me right, you say
Down the road of our lives,
A change is coming.

I’m human, with good and bad
And, like you, I am alive.
Mercy on me, mercy on us
Who can say what is right?

Who can say what is right?

(chorus)
Take a minute and look into my eyes,
Get closer and give me a hug,
For a moment in your life
Don’t judge me, don’t pull me apart.

For a moment in your life
Don’t judge me, don’t pull me apart.
(verse)
I’m not afraid to close my eyes
What the hack is wrong with us?
We quickly judge, and do not trust
No second chance, we decide.

No second chance,
We decide.

Here are my drawings for the “Look Into My Eyes” poem.
Five sketches for five basic emotions: sadness, surprise, fear, joy, and anger.
