What Is – The Song

New song I’ve finished today. It’s called “What Is.”

Based on the “What Is” poem.

What Is

What Is

Lyrics:

Out of the faith that holds me here,
Thoughts are pouring into a clog,
I put “What Is” in front of them
To snake it out and clear the pain.

I am a line between two points,
Sometime a straight, sometime a curve,
And when I reach the ending point,
The pain will stop,The pain will stop.

I welcome whatever fears may show up
To this Circus of the Past,
I am the memory kept alive,
By the intrinsic motion of time.

In episodes of low destiny,
I have not turned my hope away,
I have not knelt for quick relief,
Nor betrayed my only soul.

I’m the buffalo running wild,
Chased by bullets, and worries, and fears,
Beneath the torment of blood,
My head is clear and triumphant.

I am the entity holding,
The pain at day, the relieve at night,
I am the foot and the head,
I am the bottom and the top,
I am a copy of yesterday,
Squeezed out of life at the end,
But still the holder of my remains.(twice)

I am the wall when I see the wall.
Day and night, I am awake,
I am the dreamer of this place,
A stable dream, but still a dream.

I am the influence of my life,
I am the keeper of my conditional mind,
Sometime I need an invitation,
To inject “What Is” in front of everything.

On the Road – The Song

New song I’ve finished writing today. It’s called “On the Road.”

Based on the “On the Road” poem.

Lyrics:

You and I made a pact
At the beginning of this life,
You and I until the end
Through dust, and sun, and rain, and pain.

(chorus)
As I lay my soul to you,
Let me ride until I see the abyss
With my own eyes,
Let me be the one who stops.

Wars and fights, wishes of hate,
Wounds still warm,
Pride and praise. (twice)

(chorus)

Hundreds of people,
Every single one of them
Proof of my social existence,
Friends yesterday, enemies today.

(chorus)

Teachings neglected,
Experiences deserted,
On the road, you may find wisdom.

(chorus)

Smiles, thousands of them stolen,
Replaced by worries and fears.
On the road, thieves and traitors,
Profiting from anything.

Road carries on my steps,
Road carries on my thoughts,
My struggles, my victories,
My friends and enemies.

(chorus)

Dust covers my sins,
Rain washes all the guilt,
Sun warms my flesh,
Wind cools my head.

As I lay my soul to you,
Let me ride …

Before Life Will Cut Me Down

A new song that I finished today. It’s called “Before Life Will Cut Me Down”.
The song is part of the “Exercises in Style” project: a cappella, american folk style.

Lyrics : Before Life Will Cut Me Down

Before life will cut me down
I sing for you while breath in me.
Before life will put me down
I cry with you while tears not dry.

A sound in the forest, steps on wet leaves,
The rain is talking to us.
We stop and listen to the waves,
And watch the colors of the air.

Before life will cut me down
I raise for you a glass of hope.
Before life will let me go
I pray for us to find again.

Grains of life and happiness,
I want to witness them with you,
With lows, and highs, and in between
We’ll live together one more bite.

Before life will cut me down
I sing for you while breath in me.
Before life will put me down
I cry with you while tears not dry.

I see the edge of my self,
The origin of fear so near.
I wipe out the human thought
To hold you close to my soul.

Before life will cut me down
I raise for you a glass of hope.
Before life will let me go
I pray for us to find again.

The wind penetrates my cloths,
My shirt too thin against the air.
Sharp bite of the cool breeze,
I hold you close in my arms.

Before life will cut me down
I say to you good night.
Before life will cut me down
I say to you good-bye.

Crazy

A new song that I finished today. It’s called “Crazy”.

Lyrics (based on the Honeymoon poem) :

Crazy
Is it crazy?
Crazy is the word
I was looking for.
Tell me are you a student of love?
Tell me are you a student of joy?

Break the habit of worry, pause on tenderness and pleasure
Feel the euphoria released by wild endorphins,
Hear the nervous vibration of the voice,
And hold on the sense of excitement, focus and purpose.

Space is shrinking, pushing closer and closer
A world, a universe, a moon only for you
Closer and closer, it weakens the meaningful sense of two
The traces of duality are washed away.

(Chorus)

Words are spoken, then whispered, then lost
The look into each other’s eyes, the movement of the body
Faultless way of communicating and understanding
The language of the human soul, the resonating music.

Two bodies walking in the shadow of the future
Dancing on forgotten songs of an ancient fiddler
The planet is moving with you, the stars are dancing with you
A vibrating drop of fluid physicality against the gravity.

Life in a Bubble

Here’s a new song that I just finished writing today. It’s called “Life in a Bubble”.

The song’s lyrics :

I crawled my mind
To find my way,
I purged all my dreams
To start again.

The simple way of life
I need to feel it,
Ice in my head
To cool my feelings.

I crawled my mind
To find my way,
Life in a bubble
Break away, break away.

Do you see me?
Do you need me?
You can not answer,
There is no answer.

Break away, break away
Life in a bubble,
Break away.

Sit down, my thought of meaning
Curse of human nature,
Today is your last day,
Tomorrow I’ll let you go.
I scream at you
You failed me in my quest,
The Book of Life,
A bestseller otherwise.

Words turned into stone

The song’s lyrics :

Words turned into stone
Words turned into stone
Words turned into stone
Words turned into stone

A weight added to your soul and mind
A weight added to your body and face
A weight added to your time and space
A weight added to your window of life

The stone is carried all the time
The stone is walked all the way
The stone is always kept alive
The stone is never put aside

I wish to go back and shut my mouth
I wish to go back and freeze my thoughts
I wish to go back and end my words
I wish to go back and stop them all

Assumptions swallowed into beliefs
Beliefs molded into thoughts
Thoughts shifted into words
Words turned into stone
